Best Music of 2013 (#50-31)

50. !!! - One Girl / One Boy
Summery, upbeat boy/girl call-and-response jam.

49. DJ Diamond - Deeper Than Trax EP
Eclectic and surprisingly accessible EP from the footwork producer.

48. Justin Timberlake - Let The Groove Get In
Covertly the best song JT's ever produced.

47. Holy Ghost! - Dynamics LP
Solid dance rock album released on DFA, a label that knows dance rock.

46. M.I.A. - Warriors
If only this track could maintain the bombast of its opening gambit.

45. Dusky - Careless EP
A banner release from Dusky in a banner year for deep house.

44. Disclosure - You & Me (Baauer Remix)
Wins the award for remix that most improves over the original.

43. Kanye West - Yeezus LP
Tremendously flawed, but the first Kanye album I've actually cared for.

42. Chase & Status - Count On Me (Andy C Remix)
I'm so happy drum 'n bass is en vogue again.

41. Lindstrøm & Todd Terje - Lanzarote
This space disco dream pairing knocks it out of the park.

40. Proxy - Kamuyi
Heavy hitter with the best, most extensive build-up of the year.

39. Gesaffelstein - Aleph LP
Bloghouse lives on, in all its glory.

38. Kavinsky - OutRun LP
Should have come out like 5 years ago, but glad it's here nonetheless.

37. Tom Trago - The Light Fantastic LP
An underrated, enjoyably experimental disco/house gem.

36. Egyptrixx - A/B Til Infinity LP
Dark and unsettling, this album is a big improvement over Bible Eyes.

35. College - Heritage LP
Dreamy synthesizer soundscapes for days.

34. Classixx - Hanging Gardens LP
Always enjoyed their remixes, but here they've pulled off a catchy album too.

33. Leon Vynehall - Open EP
New-school UK house at its finest.

32. Special Request - Soul Music LP
Massive collection of top-shelf, original drum 'n bass cuts.

31. Darkside - Psychic LP
I came for the Jaar; I stayed for the guitars.
